My name is Cristiano Cardoso. I was born in the 90s and am now 34 years old. As a true Gemini, I have always been curious, communicative, and full of energy. I started working early, at the age of 15, as a young apprentice while taking a technical course in mechanics at SENAI in the afternoon and finishing high school at night. In 2008, I started studying Accounting in college—a quick decision based on the most common options in my city and my affinity for numbers. I completed four semesters but took a break for one semester when I moved to the capital in search of new opportunities. Filled with doubts, I resumed my studies, completed two more semesters, and began working at an accounting firm. In just six months, I realized: this was not my place. With only two semesters left to graduate and my thesis already started, I made the difficult decision to drop out. I wanted something that truly fulfilled me.

That’s when a friend invited me to help him at a beauty salon. My first reaction was, “But I don’t even know how to blow-dry hair!” Still, he insisted, and I decided to give it a try. When I stepped into the salon, I was surprised by the dynamic and lively environment—different stories with every client, the sound of hairdryers, the constant movement, and the interactions with people. I started by sweeping the floor, washing hair, and holding combs. And as I helped, I learned. Little by little, I realized that this world fascinated me.

I decided to become a professional, and in 2014, I completed a six-month course at Senac-ES, officially entering the beauty industry. Initially working as an assistant, it took me about a year to earn my own chair. Since then, I have never stopped studying and improving my skills. My training includes:

On October 26, 2022, I embarked on a new journey and moved to the United States in search of new challenges and opportunities. Starting over in another country was not easy. My first job was at a Brazilian salon, where, despite my effort, I earned only $25 per client. It was a period of great learning and resilience. However, the doors truly opened when I discovered Latinos Hair Salon, which welcomed me and allowed me to grow professionally.

I joined the Latinos Hair Salon team in 2024, and the following year, I took a significant step in my career: I rented my own chair and became an independent professional. Today, in addition to serving my clients with dedication, I teach highlights and hair treatment courses through the JM Beauty distributor. My dream now is to expand even further and build my own team.

Beyond the work I love, I continue investing in myself. I am learning two new languages—Spanish and English—to connect better with people and expand my horizons even further.

With approximately 10 years of experience, I specialize in highlights, haircuts, and natural and curly hair care. Creating personalized colors and transforming people’s self-esteem is what drives me. I always say: never see hair care as an expense. It’s an investment in yourself, your confidence, and your well-being.

My purpose is to make every person who sits in my chair feel valued, cared for, and, most importantly, beautiful. I am here to help you see the best version of yourself—because you deserve to feel amazing every day!
